The first Community Layer Meetup in Arberg

First review: strong turnout and personal exchange
Visitors brought a lively atmosphere to Arberg from the start. Enthusiastic conversations, curious questions and very positive feedback made the first Community Layer Meetup a successful beginning.

Exciting products and creative projects invited visitors to explore, ask questions and exchange ideas.
The app extends the event experience
Visitors used bookmarks to save physical exhibits digitally and later access further information and exhibitor websites. We plan to develop this connection between visitors, products and partners further.

Experience 3D printing and make connections
Looking back at the first press announcement: Free admission and a varied programme for curious visitors, families and the maker community, with no registration, prior experience or printer required.
The concept centred on meeting experienced users, YouTubers and creative people, asking questions, sharing experience and finding ideas and contacts for future projects.
Exhibits ranged from detailed figures and practical everyday objects to unusual large models. Current 3D printers and maker equipment brought the technology to life. 3D scanning, laser and engraving technology, talks and practical insights were part of the announced programme.
Families were explicitly welcome, with a small play landscape and hands-on activities designed to make creative technology accessible to children.
The event was organised by Jan Bärtl (Druckwerkstatt 3D) and Christoph Hammer (Der absolute Hammer), together with dedicated community helpers, and supported by Snapmaker.

More room for the next edition
Strong demand encourages us to grow and further professionalise the event. The currently proposed venue offers around 2.5 times the floor space, according to initial plans, allowing for more exhibitors, larger partner areas and improved visitor flow.
New planned window: late May to mid-June 2027. Exact dates are still being coordinated and will be announced. Look forward to more room to explore, inspiring encounters and an enhanced event app.
We are also planning for your refreshment breaks: alongside drinks, the next edition will include plans for a suitable food offering, giving visitors time to enjoy a bite between exploring, trying things out and conversations.
